On The Fly Culinary LLC is our family business based in Fredericksburg, VA. We’re the company behind On The Fly Tapsters and Kombi Keg RVA, but at the heart of it, this is a culinary business we built from the ground up.

I’m Jennifer Cumming, the founder. My background is in chemistry, but I found my way into the kitchen over time—learning, experimenting, and figuring out how I wanted to do things differently. I care a lot about how food is made. Clean ingredients matter to me. So does doing things the right way, even when it takes more effort.

My husband Nathan brings over 20 years of Army experience into this. He’s the one who keeps everything structured and moving. I tend to be the ideas and vision—he makes sure it all actually works.

Our kids are a real part of this too, not just in name. Natalia is a pre-med student and bartender who is great with people and brings a lot of care to what she does. Gabriel is our events manager and an avid chess player, and he plays a big role in keeping operations running smoothly across the business. Ephraim is always building or figuring something out and helps with prep, packing, and service. They all show up, work hard, and take ownership, which has been a big part of what’s allowed us to grow.

This is something we’ve built together as a family.
